Discover Scuba Diving with Catarina & Pedro

Today, Catarina and Pedro had their Discover Scuba Diving Course with Season Challenge, Azores Islands Diving Center!

This was Pedro's first scuba dive experience but not for Catarina's because she already had an OWD certification, but didn't dive for 12 years,

This friendly Portuguese couple, began their day in the beautiful country house of Pico da Pedra, with a dive in the swimming pool, where they learned the basic techniques needed to scuba dive safely. When they felt prepared and comfortable underwater, we went to Caloura to do the second dive in the sea and have some extra fun!

Book now your Discover Scuba Diving Course and have an amazing day exploring for the first time the underwater world!

PADI Open Water Diver Course

A group of marine biologists students from the University of the Azores wanted to become divers, so they contacted Season Challenge Dive Center to start their Open Water Diver Course! This course is the first step to be certified as a recreational diver and to be able to dive up to 18 metres of depth.

After they learned the theoretical part, it was time to have some fun in the swimming pool where they learned how to use the scuba equipment and got familiar with it. Then, it was time for the real deal, their first steps in the ocean, where they practised the same exercises that they have learned in the swimming pool, but this time with a beautiful underwater life to observe.
